Thank you Melbourne

Thank you to the thousands who braved the winter chill to experience two weeks of atmospheric, seductive and soul-stirring entertainment in our tenth annual festival.

Don’t miss out

While this bright festival spotlight goes off stage until next year, there’s plenty of terrific cabaret on offer year round. Following are our hot tips.

Melbourne Cabaret Fringe

On now: Cabaret Fringe has kicked off at The Butterfly Club with a super eclectic range of shows. See the full line-up here.

Send Comma Sutra to Edinburgh Fringe

Melbourne Cabaret Festival favourite Louisa Fitzhardinge is taking her hit show ‘Comma Sutra’ to the Edinburgh Fringe for the first time. Send her off in style by attending her fundraiser on 14 July.

Theatre Works spectacular

Some of our favourite performers can be seen at Theatre Work’s major fundraiser on 2 August, the Abundance & Abandon Gala. The night promises to showcase an eclectic array of performances curated to surprise and enchant, accompanied by wine, wonder and delicious dining.

Lorne Festival of Performing Arts

Lorne’s famous Festival of Performing Arts is shifting to warmer weather, making it the perfect extended school holiday weekend getaway. Join them on Thu 3 to Sun 6 Oct. Join their mailing list to be first to hear of what’s on. Rumour is several cabaret festival favourites will make a return!

For year round cabaret, sign up to the enewsletters / facebook pages for Chapel Off Chapel, The Butterfly Club and The MC Showroom.
