We’re bringing back the dazzle!

After a 3-yr hiatus, the Melbourne Cabaret Festival returns! With some of Australia’s most loved and high calibre cabaret acts like the incomparable Prinnie Stevens and formidable The Kransky Sisters, this is a festival program you won’t want to miss.

Make sure you follow on Facebook and Instagram for upcoming announcements of the full program.

Welcome Prinnie Stevens

The incomparable Prinnie Stevens (as seen on The Voice) will be gracing the stage at the Melbourne Cabaret Festival Sat 8 & Sun 9 July with her acclaimed show Lady Sings the Blues.

A story about women in song, their hurts, struggles and pain whilst their beauty remains the same.

Featuring the songs of the greats such as Billie Holiday, Etta James, Nina Simone & Ella Fitzgerald along with the modern day voices of Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé and Sade you will be transported from the speak easy setting to the very heart of our Lady.

Prinnie as a woman of colour in Australia will tell these tales through her own eyes and experience.

Watch out, The Kransky Sisters are on their way!

The Kransky Sisters have hopped in their Morris and are on their way to the Melbourne Cabaret Festival with a spicy mix of their hot hits in their show Assorted Nuts, Sat 8 July.

The musical sisters from Esk are turning the hubcaps on the highway and bringing a delightful mix of their nutty stories and songs to town!

From Abba to Daft Punk, Sia to Steppenwolf, Pink to Pink Floyd, get ready to hear well-known tunes like you’ve never heard them before. With their peculiar spin on popular songs played on an eclectic mix of instruments including musical saw, tuba, old reed keyboard, and kitchen pots, these oddball Queensland sisters will leave you wanting more.

WE ARE RETURNING!

After three bruising years and many cancelled and interrupted performances due to COVID, thanks to our supporters and funders we’re excited to announce the Melbourne Cabaret Festival will return from Tuesday 4th to Sunday 9th July this year.

We will return to the City of Port Phillip, where we started 12 years ago, programming multiple nightly performances at the iconic art deco Memo Music Hall and upstairs in The Ruby Carter Lounge – a hidden gem.
